OIP.NET was founded at the end of 1995 as a collaboration between Becky Work, realtor, and David Work, computer guru. Internet access was very new at that time, and as a result OIP.NET was one of the first online real estate sites.

Over the years, OIP.NET was an influencial and helpful presence for Realtors in Eugene, Springfield, and Cottage Grove.

As technology improved, multiple listing services began consolidating their Realtor listings on sites such as realtor.com and zillow.com. As a result, OIP’s share of the online listing market eroded and finally disappeared.

Now, the OIP.NET website has transformed into a membership directory. Realizing that inbound links and website/email hotlinks are more important than ever, our hope is that our directory will once again become an important mainstay in Oregon’s Real Estate agents’ marketing effiorts.
